Mobile Workshop Bike
A Pop-up AteljéCommissioned by Göteborgs Konsthall, Mobile Workshop Bike is a travelling version of the gallery’s education room.
A modular storage and display system has been designed around an existing cargo bike. The system includes surfaces and containers, which store and display artistic media and other workshop materials. The contents can be easily exchanged, depending on the workshop being delivered.
The pop-up display system is assembled on-location, without tools. All components are packed into the main compartment of the cargo bike. The overall design prioritises usability, from the perspective of workshop participants and workshop leaders.
With the Mobile Workshop Bike, Göteborgs Konsthall’s educational team are able to cycle across the city, delivering creative workshops in public spaces - with an aim to reach neighbourhoods and communities less connected to the Konsthalls city-centre location.
