Emotional Story-Sharing

Today Museum invites people to share stories surrounding personally significant objects.

Within a Today Museum workshop scenario, a group of participants sit down together and, one by one, share stories of objects that they have been prompted to bring with them.

A specially designed table and system of interactive props encourage participants to identify emotions associated with their object, as they share its story. Workshop activity is followed by a local exhibition and public archive.

The Today Museum experience offers meaningful interactions, characterised by sincere conversational exchange, rich with emotion.

Through listening and dialogue, Today Museum aims to:

  • Facilitate communication across cultures
  • Overcome misinformed social stereotypes
